Species: Near Human—Due to an emergency blood transfusion with Brigit Aislinn / Galatia, an Iegan, Valiant's lifespan has been greatly extended--this was done at great risk as such transplants have a very low success rate and often result in the recipient dying. It is believed a combination of his then impressive regenerative ability, Brigit Aislinn's near legendary proficiency in force healing and Valiant's stubborn refusal to die, allowed him to survive.

• Assorted cybernetic eyes—his right eye socket, has been surgically altered to allow quick and easy swapping of ocular implant, dependong on if he needs a camera, or a cutting beam, or alternate vision modes.

Combat training: Valiant is trained in two styles of unarmed combat, K'tara and Hijkata, as well as tricks learned from Cellese, as her people are the experts of fighting dirty.

• K'tara - often used by Alliance Special Forces and other military units, focusing on stealth by maximizing damage to an opponent while making a minimum amount of noise. The style featured short, quick movements, most beginning from the set position and moving within the small area framed by the target's shoulders and hips. A skilled practicioner could quietly silence an opponent, disarm him, and disable him within a very short period of time.
   

• Hijkata - a Martial Arts discipline that the Galactic Republic's Senate Guard were drilled in. It focused on deflecting and countering the attacks of your opponents, turning their attacks and maneuvers against them.

Mastered Lightsabre Styles:

• Ataru—Form IV: Ataru, also known as the Way of the Hawk-Bat, or The Aggression Form. though it is aggressive, it is focused, and its best use is in combat against a single opponent. It is the most acrobatic Form, filled with numerous elaborate moves, and relies heavily upon a Jedi's ability to run, jump, and spin using the Force. Valiant began learning this form after encountering an increasing number of beings with enhanced strength. He reasoned that while he could not match the strength of preternaturally strong beings, he could work around this with an agility based combat form. Its worked pretty well so far.
   

• Jar'Kai—A style of swordplay that utilized dual blades, developed by the Yovshin Swordsmen. In Valiant's training of Ataru, he learned that it was also known to employ dual blades as part of its training regimen, making it perfect in terms of progression. Also Jar'Kai had the advantage of being an easier form to use when holding off multiple opponents.
   

• Sokan—A principle of lightsaber combat, rather than a true form. Sokan teaching revolved around using the environment itself to gain a tactical advantage in combat. It involved maneuvering so that swift strokes of the lightsaber could be aimed toward the opponent's vital areas, using quick tumbles, jumps, and movements. Combatants made use of large amounts of terrain, trying to maneuver their opponents into vulnerable areas during the course of battles that involved Sokan techniques. This technique allowed for great speed and mobility and left no openings in one's defense. Practitioners integrated highly kinetic elements of Ataru with their ancient Sokan techniques to create a blend of styles that relied upon agility.
  While all Jedi learn the principles of this form, some Jedi like Valiant specialise in it, as it both suits Ataru well and reflects Valiant's philosophy of using any possible tactical advantage, including his environment.
