Arkanians are capable of seeing into the infrared spectrum, and their eyes are sensitive to sources of extreme heat.

This was helpful on their dark and frigid homeworld, but when travelling off-world, many must wear blinders on planets with hotter, younger suns. It was also not unusual for an Arkanian to enhance themselves with internal and/or external cybernetics. It was also standard practice for Arkanians to undergo genetic manipulation of their own bodies, enhancing themselves so as to be better than "lesser" species.

 

 

Cybernetic mods:

 

Jarish has been augmented with external retracting glareshades, similar to those seen on Dax Fel, but typically has his office and the senate chambers illuminated with lighting that does not impair his vision.

His lungs have also been fitted with cybernetic toxin filters, and a two hour oxygen reserve.

Background:

​

Jarish Inyo was elected Chancellor in the wake of former Chancellor Thundercraft's departure from office. In his youth, he served as a tactician under Admiral Alexis Praetor, and later studied law, attaining the degree of Doctor of Juridical Science and Laws.

His wife died during the Naboo war, having been on site during the sacking of the Coruscant Jedi Temple. It was at this time, that all other councils, including Ossus and Dantooine, were wiped out entirely.

Only the Naboo Jedi Council survived, and are now based in the Naboo Jedi Praxeum.
