Aldous is a combat focused Jedi, and is highly proficient in most schools of lightsabre combat, with special focus on the following:

• Ataru—Form IV: Also known as the Way of the Hawk-Bat, or The Aggression Form. though it is aggressive, it is focused, and its best use is in combat against a single opponent. It is the most acrobatic Form, filled with numerous elaborate moves, and relies heavily upon a Jedi's ability to run, jump, and spin using the Force.  
  Due to Aldous' natural agility as a Cinosian Quillback, this style is perfect for him, and in combat, he often resembles an airborne spinning ball of spikes and death.
   

• Shien—Form V: Also known as The Way of the Krayt Dragon or The Perseverance Form, was the fifth of seven forms recognised as canon by the last Jedi Council for lightsaber combat. It was developed by practitioners of Form III who felt that the defensively-minded form would unnecessarily extend time spent in combat by forcing its users to wait for an opportunity to strike rather than create their own openings. Form V combat was characterised by power attacks and defense immediately followed by a counter-strike.
  
  Shien, considered the classical variant of Form V, was more adept at blocking blaster bolts than for blade-to-blade combat, whereas Djem So was developed later and was specifically intended for use in lightsaber combat. Both Shien and Djem So were designed to use an opponent's attack against them, as evidenced by Shien's focus on returning blaster bolts to their origin.
  
  Form V is a fluid style. Practitioners have to be always ready to spring to the attack from a defensive position and to return to protection when momentum ran low. While Shii-Cho and Ataru forced the situation and Soresu waited patiently for an opportunity, Shien and Djem So sought to control the momentum of battle, cleverly using whatever circumstances arose to their advantage.

Background:

​

Growing up as the son of a Quillback tailor, Aldous discovered his force sensitivity at a young age.

His parents informed the local Gaian consulate, who put them in contact with Sage, who trained the young Quillback in the ways of the Jedi.
During the Naboo-Galactic War, Aldous served as a field combatant.

Since the end of the war, he has remained on Naboo.
