Species: Half Sephi / half unknown humanoid species

The Sephi were a species of sentient humanoids. Outwardly, they were very similar in appearance to Human stock, the key difference being their long, pointed ears.

The Sephi were a long-lived species, with elder individuals living for more than 200 years, possibly up to 400. They could interbreed with several other species, including the Arkanians and the Humans.

(Note: I chose the species after finding the picture, and decided to make her species to be the same as Fay or Aleco Stusea, only to find their species weren't specified, but believed to be half Sephi, so this character will be one too - it was this or make a new damn species just to justify pointed ears)

Weapons:

  • Twin lightsabers - To hilts connected at the middle to form a double bladed weapon, with the option to separate into separate hilts.
     

  • Twin curved Sith forged swords - each impervious to lightsabers, sharp enough to cut through solid oak, bone and plastoid. Each bears a unique hook shaped pommel
     

  • Throwing knives - Kept on her belt and one in each boot, half are coated in poison, while the others are vibro-blades.
     

  • Sith forged polearm - impervious to lightsabers (not always carried)



"There is only one lightsaber configuration that covers all bases. A true saber-staff which can only emit two blades and no less, has as many disadvantages as advantages, do not bother with such a pretentious thing.
Twin hilts even connected, only produce twin blades when you want them to, one button turns it into a single bladed lightsaber, which is far superior for block and parry traversals, just with a longer hilt, for greater control.
Activate your second blade when dealing with multiple opponents, otherwise it only restricts your lateral traversal movements - do not be fooled by those who show up impressive twirls and spins, in real combat, all that matters is who lived who didn't."

"Lightsabers can be damaged far too easily, they're loud and bright, offering no measure of stealth, and without the right modifications, cannot operate in water. An alchemically forged sword overcomes all of those limitations, plus it can be used inside of an energy dampening field, which may be rare to encounter, but fortune favours the prepared.If you seek to hide that you are Sith, a sword will not betray your alignment as a saber would.
They can deflect projectiles fired from slug-throwers, and will halt a vibro-blade, instead of cutting through it, which could otherwise potentially leave you open to an attack.
Finally, swords are stylish, and give you the chance to show artistry"

"We Sith are not above the use of ranged weapons, and while you can always use telekinesis to turn your lightsaber into a lethal projectile, a poisoned throwing knife or vibro-blade can do the same, and if circumstance allows, such can be retrieved after a battle, or even during, if you're quick and careful."

"Before the advent of lightsabers, proto-sabers and force imbued blades, the common sword was actually a backup weapon, a sidearm used for when pike formations or similar, were to fail.
I know you favour the sword and axe, but do not underestimate the tactical advantages of the halberd or polearm - one that can withstand lightsabers such as mine, will make a competent user a terror among the Jedi, as you take advantage of superior reach, and hook their lightsabers in ways they could never have predicted."
 

Background:
 

Salo'mei was born in Nar Shaddaa and became an orphan at a young age. She learned to survive as a pickpocket, using her powers in the Force to obfuscate and distract her marks, until one day she attempted to steal from a Sith Lord, who sensed her power, and offered her the chance to put her abilities to a far more meaningful use.

On Korriban, she trained and grew in power and knowledge, finding a specific affinity for crafting weapons, reading Sith runes, and lightsaber combat.

In time she surpassed her master, replacing him as Blademaster of the Korriban academy, where she would spend her years training one generation of Sith after another.
Decades before the Naboo-Galactic War, a new student arrived, one she assumed to be a transfer from the Gamorr academy, but instead, he was a potential Sith Lord, just as she had once been.

This acolyte who bore the name "Darth Seer," rumoured to have been one of the rejected candidates of the Harbinger project - Salo'mei wanted to know what manner of being could have survived such circumstances, and became one Seer's many mentors, the only one Seer would ever fully trust.
She trained him to be a skilled duelist, in the ways of forging metal weapons that could withstand lightsabers, and in the art of creating runes imbued with the dark side of the Force.

 

"My Master taught me the rule of might: only the strongest Sith survive, but strength alone isn't enough for 'Through strength I gain power, through power I gain victory.'
Power alone for power's sake is also not enough, for power must have purpose, and only the most cunning Sith can make use of such power.

 

You must be strong and cunning, willing to step on the weak and or foolish, even if they are more powerful, their lack of intelligence entitles you to use and discard them as you see fit. All of their resources, all of their powerbase, all of this belongs to the strong and cunning, it is your birthright to be claimed, not a prize to be earned.

There will be those who will offer even their very lives to you, and others you will appropriate whatever value they offer - this is the rule of might, as might makes right.
 

Now, it is true that 'honour is a fool's prize,' and 'glory is of no use to the dead,' but there is room for loyalty among the worthy.

Those who show true might, or the potential for it, are deserving of consideration, you may find yourself needing their aid.

You will learn to discern the difference between the mighty and worthy - those who deserve loyalty where fitting, and those you may treat as expendable, not deserving of neither promise nor concern."
