Force alignment: Dark side, Sith Warrior / Infiltrator
Sexuality: Bisexual
Species: Shi'ido
The Shi'ido were a sentient species of shapeshifters from the planet of Lao-mon. Senior Anthropologist Mammon Hoole was a Shi'ido, and used his abilities to infiltrate and monitor other alien species.
Little was actually known of the biology of the mysterious Shi'ido. In their natural forms, they were humanoids with pale skin, wide mouths, and deep set eyes. Their entire physiology was extremely pliable, and their skeletons were made of very thin, yet dense, bone. Their tendons were detachable, and could be moved about their body at will.
Due to their pliable structure, Shi'ido were able to mimic nearly any object or being, such as Humans or Rodians. They were also able to drastically increase their mass, and were known to have hidden flesh within their bodies that assisted in such transformations. In addition to this, Shi'ido were also able to change the texture of their skin to mimic rocks, trees, scales or fur.
Shi'ido had very long life spans and could live to be 500 years old, and were considered adults at 61 years of age. Their ability to change shape improved with age, as well as the ease in which they changed forms. Young Shi'ido could only change the color of their skin and imitate similarly-shaped species, while individuals past the age of 150 could change into any small to large alien species or creature.
In order to complete the image that they sought, Shi'ido also possessed a form of telepathy. They used this ability to project false impressions upon those of other species, allowing them to cover up any inconsistencies with their transformations. This was extremely useful when studying species that identified each other through smell as well as sight, as a Shi'ido could project the feeling that they had the same exact scent as that particular species. Their telepathy required great concentration, and they would lose control of it if they were distracted. As with their shape-shifting abilities, this telepathy also grew more powerful with age.
Note:
As Tau has grown up away from others of their kind, their training is such that they are only skilled in taking humanoid appearances. They know little of their home world.
They can, with concentration, take on animal forms, but be unable to speak, and not of drastically different size - some Shi'ido can impersonate hutts or whaladons (which can be as long as 30 metres), while Tau is unable to do anything slightly like that.
The smallest form might be that of a large house cat, or an eagle sized bird. The largest would be that of an average sized tiger, but typically, humanoid forms are where they excel. When they does take an animal form, they are unable to use equipment, unable to speak, and their clothing will not fit, leaving them naked when they return to humanoid form, although the appearance of clothing can be included in shape shifting.
History:
Taken from Lao-mon shortly after birth, Tau was raised by Sith Intelligence to be a loyal agent, of infiltration, intel gathering and assassination.
When discovered by Seer to be Force sensitive,Tau was trained in secret, to become his spy and assassin, with special focus on training in stealth based Force powers.
Armour:
Tau undertakes many missions, some calling for operating in plain sight, using an assumed identity, but for missions that call for working in the shadows, where combat is a likely hazard, they have a special fitted armour suit.
Their armour is lined with reflec (a spray polymer that blocks sensor/scanner readings), and coated with colour mimetic nano-lining, allowing the suit and metal plates to change colours, from white, black, dark grey, navy blue, desert yellow, or forest camouflage. White is the default setting, but typically the suit is set to a darker colour, for field operations.
The plates and underlay are designed to accommodate limited shifting in humanoid forms, mostly for adjustments in height, build, and appearance of gender, to prevent identification.
The helmet is fitted with a comlink, rebreather, external camera, HUD, and alternate vision modes, including lowlight-vision and infra-red, although Tau can achieve either on their own, by shifting the lenses of their eyes, but such requires concentration.
Weapons and Equipment:
Tau has access to many gadgets and weapons, but often carries as little as possible, depending on their mission parameters.
The following is a list of their full inventory, but not all items are carried at the same time.
-
Lightsabres x 2—One with a purple blade, one with blue, both of different styled hilts. Tau is trained in Ataru, and Jar'Kai.
Tau has told Sith Intelligence, that the weapons were acquired during a mission, where they had to kill two Force users, and are purely for show only. Also, they can be used to frame other Force users, or to use certain identities.
-
Throwing knives—Made with micro-porous blades that release neurotoxin on contact—designed by Seer, who has taught Tau how to use them in conjunction with telekinesis, for accuracy, and recall, making them a reusable weapon.
-
Vibrosword—Black, compact compared to most swords, and designed to store additional, smaller weapons, like poisions, shuriken and small blades. This weapon is used when a lightsabre is not needed, and rarely has its vibro function activated. A Sith Intelligence made weapon.
-
Silenced slug thrower—Uses an electromagnetic accelerator to fire a solid steel round. Completely silent, and accurate up to twenty metres with no recoil. Clip takes ten rounds. A Sith Intelligence made weapon.
-
Tebbit knife—concealed blade, made tantalum steel alloy with bio-weapon coding. The runnel is coated wth C-381 and produces cyanide compounds on contact with haemoglobin. A Sith Intelligence made weapon.
-
Natural weapons—Can form claws and bludgeons from her appendages, using natural shapeshifting abilities, but such is not their standard tactic. Tau learned this from their sibling, Rakshasa Altea.
-
Scramble key—An electronic lock breaker developed to bypass electronic locks that required a password or code input to open a door.
-
Slicing tool
-
Lock picks
-
Listening devices
-
Smoke grenades

Examples of some identities Agent Tau uses. As a spy and assassin, Tau takes on many faces, be it a soldier, a smuggler, a pirate, an art dealer, a scientist, a bounty hunter, a clerical worker, an escort, a starliner pilot, a businessman, a politician, whatever is needed.
Transport:
Different missions call for different modes of transport, to prevent being traced, or to leave a deliberate trail.
Usually Sith Intelligence will provide is provided a means of transport through space, but for missions that call for it, Tau will often steal a vehicle, or travel under an assumed identity, hiring a smuggler.
For missions that do not call for much equipment, or where equipment is stored near a mission site, Tau can use a basic animal form to travel within an atmosphere.
Otherwise, Tau has their own ship, "The Chameleon," a Lancer-class pursuit craft.
