In Gaian naming tradition, the child's surname is the given name of the parent of the same genetic gender. As Seikar's father is named Kuroki, he was named Seikar Lai Kuroki, or Seikar, offspring of Kuroki.

  As a result of this training, Seikar has reflexes far higher than the average Gaian.
   

• Greatly increased durability in the bones and skin, of his hands and forearms—as a Teräs Käsi master, who has trained in the Spear-lance technique, Seikar has trained for decades, making use of makiwara striking posts, sand bags, and iron palm.
  This agonising practice of self destruction, only leads to the destruction of one's opponents, as it has given Seikar upper-limbs and hands that can pierce like lances.
  
  He can rip and tear through flesh, punch through solid oak, can crack bricks and stone, and even dent some lesser metals, without harm. He has encouraged Sage, a former student of his, to train in this way, but Sage has refused, saying "That's what lightsabres are for."
